A group of accountants went crazy last week – and it wasn’t holes in finances they were looking for! The staff at K A Farr & Co Chartered Accountants of Churchtown spent a team building afternoon at the ‘Masters Crazee Golf’ course on Southport Promenade. And there were prizes for holes-in-one, best team score, best individual score and even a wooden spoon for the loser with the highest score.
Proprietor Kath Farr said ‘I wanted to reward the team for working so hard, we set some targets earlier in the year and said if they were achieved (which I am delighted to say they were!) then we would have a Reward Day. The team had a vote on what they would like to do & this was the winning idea. Everyone here has performed well and they deserved a bit of light-hearted ‘team-building’.
Champion of the Day was Julie Gill, who confessed to being a regular crazy golfer on holidays “It wasn’t about whacking the ball hundreds of yards, more about accuracy, that’s what won the day.”
Staff are now back in the office working on year-ends, VAT, payroll and the looming tax deadline in January – and accuracy will be key there too.
